Ziggy takes some of the daily hassle out of living with type 1 diabetes. When you put on a new glucose sensor or insulin pod, you just scan the barcode on the box — and Ziggy quietly remembers what it was, when it went on, and where. From that one tap it shows how many days are left, nudges you when it's time to reorder supplies, and keeps a tidy record of anything that fails.
What Ziggy does
- Scan to log a change — one scan records a new sensor or pod, with the day, site, and how it felt.
- Countdowns & reorder reminders — see what you're wearing, days remaining, and when to restock.
- Failure log — capture the details a manufacturer asks for when a sensor or pod fails, ready to share.
- Supplies — keep a running count of sensors, pods, insulin and anything else.
- Checklists — "have I got everything?" lists for school, sleepovers and trips.
- Calendar & notes — appointments, predicted reorder dates, and a place for anything to remember.
Private by design
Everything you enter stays on your phone. Ziggy has no accounts, collects nothing, and shares nothing. It's a record-and-reminder tool — it does not read glucose data and never calculates or suggests insulin doses. For anything medical, always follow your diabetes care team.
Why we made it
Ziggy is built by a dad and his teenage son, Ossie, who has type 1 himself. Ossie came up with the features from his own day-to-day experience, and we're sharing it free in the hope it helps other families too.
