Privacy Policy

Ziggy, Diabetes Buddy · Last updated: 14 June 2026

Ziggy is designed to keep your information private. In plain terms: your data stays on your device, and we don't collect, transmit, or sell anything. This policy explains the details.

What we collect

Nothing. Ziggy has no user accounts and no login. Everything you enter — sensor and pump changes, supplies, checklists, notes, and calendar events — is stored only in a database on your own device. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. We use no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.

Camera

Ziggy uses your camera for one purpose: to scan the barcode on a supplies box. The camera image is processed on your device to read the code and is not stored or transmitted.

Notifications

Any reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Ziggy does not use push notifications and does not contact any server to send them.

If you contact us

If you choose to email us — for example using the optional "help improve Ziggy" button, or to send feedback — your message comes to feedback@ziggydiabetes.app. We use it only to respond and to improve the app, and we don't share it. Sending feedback is always your choice; the app never sends anything automatically.

Children

Ziggy is used by people with type 1 diabetes, including children and young people. Because Ziggy collects no personal information and stores everything on the device, there is no profiling, tracking, or sharing of any user's data, including children's.

Not medical advice

Ziggy is a record-keeping and reminder tool. It does not provide medical advice and does not calculate or recommend insulin doses or any other treatment. Always follow the guidance of your diabetes care team.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
